To: All of Atletico Santa Rosa Families

I would like to wish all our wonderful families a merry Christmas and very prosperous new year. As I reflect back on 2010, I can enthusiastically say that it has been our best year ever. The vision and the accomplishments on and off the field have been stellar by our athletes. I can firmly say that we are on the right path in becoming the top soccer program in the country. We still believe in our core values that our players, athletes, and parents are the best in the world. If we see ourselves as being the best in the world, and our work ethic reflects that, then we will surpass any goals and objectives that we so desire. We will continue to run a transparent soccer program where our books are open with no hidden agendas and our children and higher education are our main priorities.
What began as an after school program has now evolved into one of the most respected and competitive soccer programs in California. The entire coaching philosophy and coaches dedication to each player has branded Atletico with its own unique style of play and identity. Our vision will continue to strive for the highest competitive level whether its professional sports, division 1 colleges, or simply playing the game for personal enjoyment.
I would like to congratulate all the teams that competed in all of the tournaments throughout the state that represented our club at the highest standards. Winning the tournaments is not as important as competing, developing, and nourishing the fundamentals of team work, discipline, and personal growth.
I would like to personally recognize Messias Souza Dos Santos for his countless effort and commitment to all our outstanding players. In 2010, Coach Messias elevated the level of play and we had 9 talented players represent Atletico at the national level. The players that achieved this status earned their participation with hard work and dedication. The players that tried out for the national team were; Diego Lopez, Austin Black, Cesar Farias, and Evan Martinez. Cesar Farias will be traveling to England and Scotland in February with the ID2 program. Arun Bains, Chris Ortiz, Brandon Andrade, Alex Gomez, and Oscar Soto all participated in the national ID2 camp in Arizona. James Moberg at CYSA ODP Region IV team.
Lastly I would like to say thank you to all the fantastic Coaches and enthusiastic parent volunteers that make this program possible. I look forward to seeing everyone in the 2011 season and continue the momentum we have had in the past 8 years.

With gratitude,

Adolfo Mendoza
President
