What to expect from Director of Coaching:
- Oversee and supervise all coaching and player development matters, provide age appropriate curriculum. This is to include working with coaches, volunteers, and families to improve player and coach development. Observe and evaluate practice sessions as appropriate. Offer guidance where necessary. Provide support and help coaches improve player development. Be the contact person for any coaching issues, including training, concerns, disputes and reports to the Director for any significant issues. Educate and mentor coaches regarding Atléticos policies, standards and programs.
- Coordination of the league plays to include, but not limited to, schedules and field set-up. This will extend to Olympic Development Program (ODP), Player Development Program (PDP) and National Identification Program (ID2) activities. Mentor and provide to the players individualized training to prepare them for tryouts.
- The Director of Coaching works with others in the Professional Coaching Administration, organizing, participating, and overseeing the evaluation of potential players (tryouts); implementing specialty trainings (strikers training, defenders and goalkeepers program), team camps and individual training programs; organizing age group clinics; participating in team trainings and game coaching on a regular basis; and, ensuring coaches support the college recruitment efforts of the Club;
